Pre-production Engineering

The experienced Pre-production Engineering Department at PTI takes the time, in the beginning, to learn the exact design requirements of each of its customer's projects. Communication is considered vital at this stage of the process, and PTI is diligent about determining the exact needs of its customers before committing the job to production.

The advent of computer-aided design (CAD) of printed circuit boards has completely changed the method of tooling printed circuit boards for manufacturing. At PTI, a modern "front end" CAM department and laser photoplotter provide the in-house technology to rapidly turn out the accurate tooling required by today's design criteria. Customers are assured that their carefully generated CAD design data is not degraded by the manual production of tooling.
